Hey GAMP Fellas! A username defines your in-game character and sometimes your Aura. In Clash of Clans, the username matters greatly as we make clans and want to stand unique by name.
CoC allows you to change the username of the Avatar only once but that too with a condition. In this article, we will get to know how to change a username in Coc with a step-by-step method with GAMP.

First things first, launch your Clash of Clans app. The first name you entered while signing up is no more cool so let’s see how you can change it.
Once the app loads, you're in your village, probably surrounded by cannons, walls, and that one builder who's always busy. Now, let’s dive into the real task.
Note: To change the first free name, you will be required to at least pass the Townhall 5. Otherwise, you will not be able to change the name.
Once you clear level 5, navigate towards the little gear icon at the bottom right corner of the screen. it’s your gateway to customization.
Tap on it to open the Settings menu. You’ll find a bunch of options there.
Once inside the Settings menu, scroll down and look for the option that says More Settings.
That’s where the magic happens. You’re going to need this section to find the sacred name-changing option. Trust me, it’s a lot easier than upgrading to Town Hall 14!
In the More Settings section, you’ll spot a handy button that says “Change Name.” Go ahead and give it a tap.
Keep in mind that your first name change is free, but after that, you'll have to buy it with gems, somewhere around 500. So, don't rush into this like you would to attack a Goblin Hut.
The fun part-now you will be asked to enter your new shiny username. But before you let your imagination begin to run riot, bear in mind:
Be creative but sensible: You want something that makes you stand alone, not something you'll regret in a week.
No inappropriate names: Supercell doesn't take too well with offensive or inappropriate usernames, so keep it clean.
No emojis or symbols: As tempting it may be, adding a little next to your name is just not an option here. Let it just be simple and straightforward but unique.
After you type in your new name, you'll be asked to confirm it. Make sure everything is spelled right, since you won't get another free shot at this.
Once confirmed, congratulations-you're now officially rocking a new identity in Clash of Clans! Cue in some dramatic music.
If, after a few weeks, you feel like "TheDragonWhisperer" isn't as cool as you thought, well, don't freak out. You can change it again, but there's a fee in gems.
The first name change is free, and the rest of them are done for some gems. The next time you rename your character, it's going to be 500 Gems. It will go up by 500 Gems every time you change your name until it caps off at 10,000 Gems. That means the more frequently you change it, the more costly it gets; so choose very carefully.
To change your username in Clash of Clans, go to the in-game Settings and tap the 'Change Name' option. Follow the prompts to complete the process. Avoid using special characters like emojis, as they may not display correctly after the change is confirmed.
