Hey Gamers! If you're kind of bored with the usual battleground games and are looking to change things up a bit then you should definitely give Clash of Clans (CoC) a shot. It's all about strategising and progressing to build the strongest base and the strongest army to crush it in the battlefield.
Players have loved it since its debut in 2012. But how can you jump into the action and begin to play Clash of Clans? Don't worry! We'll break down the steps to make gameplay easier.

To start, you need to download Clash of Clans. iOS users can find it in the App Store, while Android users should check the Google Play Store. You can download it for free.
The game is going to walk you through a step-by-step tutorial when you jump into it for the first time. The centre of your base is the Town Hall, basically the heart of your village.
Protect it with your life! Place it in the middle of your base and surround it with protective structures like cannons, archer towers, and traps. Walls are very important and will help in slowing down enemy troops, so make sure everything valuable is kept as safe as possible.
Firstly, at the start of the game, avoid using gems to rush any builds or train troops. Pro-tip is to save them for the all-important builder huts—the ones that will allow you to fast-track the expansion of your base.
There may be instances where the tutorial may nudge you to spend gems here and there. Take our advice and be stingy with those gems, and you'll be thanking us pretty soon.
Another good idea is that when the tutorial asks you to attack the enemy base with five wizards, you can do it with two. Keep the other three as wizards will not be available again for a while and will benefit you in upcoming fights.
Finally, don't make the mistake of quickly upgrading extra storage for gold and elixir at the very early stages. It will take quite a while before you max out your present storage; therefore, other more pressing issues should be attended to first, like building defences and training troops.
Make sure to prioritise upgrading your defences—cannons, archer towers, and mortars—so they can withstand enemy raids. Upgrades are available for defences and as you level up your Town Hall, new defensive buildings will become increasingly available as well.
Max out those existing defences and walls before upgrading Town Hall, to make sure there is no vulnerability left as you gear up for the next level.
The soul of good defence lies in compact tile construction. When a base spreads out too much, the inner defences of the setup are not able to protect each other properly. One trick would be to place the builder huts on all corners of the map—this may slow down any attacker trying to get a perfect 3-star attack.
Meanwhile, keep your slower, long-range defences like mortars and air defences towards the centre, with fast defences like archer towers and cannons positioned to protect them.
We must not discount traps! These are one-shot tools of defence that will smack and mash enemy troops like no other. While they don't offer a constant hail of bullets like the cannons do, the well-placed traps really can make all the difference at defending your base.
Need a quick way to farm resources? These tried-and-true raiding strategies will grab what you need fast:
This is a pure number-crush strategy where the giants go first and soak up most of the damage while the wall breakers pound down the walls. Once the walls are down, the goblins come in targeting resource collectors and storage buildings, grabbing loot as fast as possible.
Flood them with a giant army of barbarians. This works better against bases which have very weak walls. But it may also be a bit dangerous, as if the barbarians get caught behind the strong defenses, the end result is going to be no stars and a lost battle.
Clash of Clans offers more than just base-building and raiding. Once you join a clan, you can participate in Clan Wars, where you team up with other players to battle rival clans for epic rewards.
There’s also the Builder Base mode, which introduces different troops and defences, offering a fresh twist on the traditional gameplay. No matter how you choose to clash, you’re in for years of fun with this strategy game.
