Hey Clashers! If you’re looking to stock up on some wild cards, gems, and lots and lots of gold, then cracking some chests open will definitely boost your game, which is much needed as you climb through Arenas and the battles get tougher. But not all chests have the same type of loot. The Silver chests are a little too basic and the Legendary chests surely blow your mind. So, if you’re dreaming of how to score better in chests in clash royale, then this guide is for you! We’re dishing out tips and tricks to help you get your hands on some of the best chests in the game. Are you ready?
First things first, chest can be obtained through various ways. You can win them by crushing your opponents in battles, win them as prizes in Global Tournaments and Challenges, and even winning clan wars grant you chests. If you’re feeling a little too impatient, then you can always buy them with Gold or Gems. Once you have a chest in possession, you can unlock them by waiting for a specified unlock time or use Gems or a special Chest Key to open them instantly.
At a time, you can own 4 chests, 1 in each of the 4 chest slots available to each player. You can still participate in tournaments and battles when your chests slots are full, but you won’t win any additional ones. So, keep the unlock timer running on at least one of your chests at all times and unlock them as soon as the timer runs out to maximise your chances or scoring more chests.
Not all chests bear the same loot. Each type of chest has different unlock times and different grades of rewards, some rare, some super common.
Silver Chests: These are super common chests you get from winning battles. They hold Common and Rare cards, taking three hours to unlock.
Golden Chests: These are the second-most common chests and are slightly more rewarding than Silver Chests. They hold two or more Rare Cards and take eight hours to unlock.
Magical and Giant Chests: These chests are where things get interesting. These are less common than the gold or silver ones and contain higher rewards like Epic Cards. They take around 12 hours to unlock.
Legendary Chests: Now this is the rarest chest of them all and contain a Legendary Card from any Arena. It takes 24 hours to unlock.
These are among the rarest, containing a Legendary Card from any Arena and taking 24 hours to unlock.
It’s always advisable to save your gems and Chest Keys to unlock the higher level chests if you’re looking to make some fast progress in the game.
If you thought the chests were given out at random, then you thought wrong. Depending on your King Level and Arena, you’ll receive chest as per a certain chest cycle. In the lower Arenas and with lesser King Levels, you’ll be part of a basic chest cycle, with a lot more silver chests in the mix. As you progress higher, the silver chests are replaced with more valuable chests like Magical Chests, Gold Crates, and Royal Wild Chests. To make the most of this cycle, keep your chest slots empty as much as possible. Stats Royale and Royale API are some tools you can use to check where you are in the Chest Cycle and your upcoming rewards.
Higher Arenas directly correlates to better rewards. As you climb through the Arenas, the type of cards you get from chests improve significantly. For example, from Arena 6, you can start getting Epic Cards, Arena 8 and above give you Epic Tower Troop Cards, Arena 11 and above can grant Legendary and Tower Troop Legendary Cards (now, isn’t that something), and Champion Cards make their appearances in chests from tower 16.
Let’s say you win a chest at a lower level, and you enter a new level with those. The cards will be replaced with better ones automatically. So, if you’re close to reaching a new Arena, it’s better to save those chests and unlock them once you get there.
Using the Pass Royale feature by purchasing a Gold Pass or a Diamond Pass can really help you up your chest game. Battling opponents earns you crowns that helps you unlock different types of rewards and chests. Getting the Gold or Diamond Pass gets you much better chests, which is an excellent investment for serious Royale Clashers. So, if your pockets are feeling a little too heavy, you can go for this option.
Timing is key while managing chests and utilising your chest slots efficiently. Three tips that can help you are, unlock lower-level chests during the day and unlock the higher ones at night. Finally, keep the higher-level chests in your slots as you approach a new Arena as reaching it, cuts the unlock time by 50%, making it much quicker to claim those rewards!
It might be easy to forget about events like Challenges, Clan Wars and Global Tournaments but if you want those big, shiny chests, you need to keep them in mind. These events can earn you some special Clan War Chests and Challenge Chests that you may not get from regular battles. So always keep an eye out for these events!
Boosting your progress in Clash Royale is as easy as stealing candy from a baby as long as you know all about the chests in circulation. So, keep playing and keep crushing the Arena for some awesome chests for better cards and better resources. Manage your chest slots well and you could dominate the game in no time! Game on!
