So, it’s one of the most asked questions in the Clash of Clans universe which troop is the strongest? Some say it’s the Dragon, some say Pekka and some go with Archers.
Well, GAMPers, you all are well aware of what will be covered in this piece of Gamelog. As there are many troops that can be positioned at the top, we have decided to make a list of the troops Ranking from highest to lowest as per their Capabilities, power and overall feedback from experts. Additionally, we will also talk about the Pros & Cons associated with each troop. So, let’s get started.
First off, let's talk about the lightning rod of the bunch: the Electro Dragon. If Thor had a pet, this would be it. Chain lightning between buildings, and this isn't just your average troop; it's a moving (or should I say flying?) natural disaster.
With this electrifying behemoth, it will hit several targets at once, so it hits clusters of defenses very effectively. Not to mention, the Death Damage ensures even in its last breath it takes a cut of the enemy base.
Highest hit points of any unit would allow it to take damage while dispensing massive amounts of area damage.
Can attack multi builds with chain lightning so it's a decent counter to clustered defense.
Death Damage so it will continue to put up numbers when knocked down
Uses a lot of housing space (30) so you can only fit fewer other troops.
Weak to air traps and seeking air mines which will quickly cripple it.
Standing tall and clad in armor thicker than a dwarf's vault door, the P.E.K.K.A is a ground unit that their enemy will fear. If that wasn't enough to have on your side, having a medieval knight by your side means that you know just how open warfare is going to be - and no one will even dare to dispute this with you.
Well, for once, this thing can single-handedly obliterate armies with one swing of its sword. With the highest damage per second (DPS) stat in the game, the P.E.K.K.A will dish out 500+ damage when fully upgraded.
DPS is extremely high; great dragon for knocking down heavy fortified buildings.
Almost 4000 hitpoints; can really carry other troops out
Slow to move, vulnerable to kiting and traps
Must focus on single targets; crowd control is often desired in the middle of a pack.
Not a single Clash of Clans troop list is ever really complete without the Dragon. This winged terror has been in the game since its conceptual days; by god, it deserves to be a mainstay in the game since the very beginning.
This beast literally breathes fire and can torch enemy defenses and troops alike with its splashy damage. The Dragon seems to stand out because it can hold up pretty well both in ground and air defense.
Can target both air and ground units, making it versatile in various attack strategies.
High hit points allow it to sustain in battle, especially in Clan Wars.
Relatively slow attack speed can be a disadvantage when facing fast-moving targets.
Vulnerable to air defenses like Archer Towers and Air Sweepers, which can chip away at its health.
If you need a tank that can soak damage while your other troops go wild, look no further than the Golem. This behemoth-sized rock hunk is a meat shield if there ever was one. With staggering amounts of hit points, the Golem is designed to take the most potent defences and shrug off members that do all the actual damage.
It has the highest hit points, so you can make it your tank and pull enemies away from your general or other soldiers.
Break into two Golemites at the point of death, where it continues to distract and do damage to defenses.
Differential damage output is very low, which may make it not much of a puncher at all when it is simply tanking.
Slow speed can make your attack slow, especially in cases where you will lack support.
The Hog Rider does not boast the best stats, but do not be mistaken-by its dull stats lies one of the best game changers. They can jump over walls; so automatically, Hog Riders go round one of the biggest problems of Clash of Clans, which is the defenses in every base.
With Hog Riders, you will enjoy rapid speed and extraordinary agility for surgical strikes, taking out significant defenses such as Cannons and Archer Towers before those defenses can do much damage.
Ability to jump over walls, allowing them to bypass obstacles and target key defenses directly.
High speed and DPS make them perfect for quick strikes and taking out key defensive structures.
Lower hit points make them vulnerable to splash damage and traps like Giant Bombs.
Requires careful coordination, as a poorly timed Hog Rider attack can quickly fall apart.
If you like taking your opponents by drowning numbers, then you'll have a good time with the Witch. She's a dark elixir unit that doesn't look especially threatening at first glance-but don't let your guard down.
The Witch summons Skeletons at regular intervals, creating an onrushing horde of undead, chaotic mayhem upon the battlefield as a seemingly endless crowd overwhelms the enemy position.
She summons streams of Skeletons incessantly, which creates the steady din of distractions for defenses.
Can easily overwhelm enemy defenses if numbers are applied.
Soft splash damage and can kill all her summoned Skeletons in just a few hits.
Hit points of relatively low values, and calls out for strong protectors like Golem.
Last but certainly not least is the Valkyrie, a troop that brings a whirlwind of destruction wherever she goes-literally. Equipped with a massive battle axe, the Valkyrie swings in a 360-degree arc, doling out damage to all enemies around her.
This makes her very effective at clearing clusters of troops and buildings in one swift move.
360-degree attack makes her deadly against groups of enemies and clustered buildings.
High HP and DPS make her a good all-around choice, both offence and defense.
Lacks the survival skills that could keep a decent check on any single-target defence like Archer Towers which could nibble into her HP.
Should be used with proper care, for it can lose its way in exploring irrelevant attacks unless properly guided.
So, who would win here-the strongest troop in Clash of Clans? It would be a tough one, but it should go to the Electro Dragon due to its excellent capability to deal devastating damage to multiple targets at one shot. However much as P.E.K.K.A can be called a close contender, the Dragon comes second with exclusive strengths in several fields.
Of course, it is absolutely going to depend on strategy and situation-but knowing the powers and weaknesses of these higher-tiered soldiers will give you the edge you need to win over them either if you are unleashing a full-scale assault or a tactical strike. Go out there, Chief, and show the world what your army can really do.
